Comment: I just had a large insulated awning installed over my patio. The structural integrity of this unit is beyond my expectations! Coming from an aerospace background I can appreciate the aluminum posts used, are at least 1/8” wall thickness. The roof is insulated and can easily hold a 200 lb person. I purchased an 8 blade ceiling fan and the crews electrician flawlessly installed it. An existing irrigation line needed to be relocated and their irrigation specialist made quick work of that and later ensured the heads were still set properly.The onsite supervisor Charlie is an expert in his field. And there was no question he was in charge of his crew. The team all worked well together. They were professional and very courteous every single day on the job. Special mention for Scott (owner), Charlie, Levi, Glenn, Braxton and Bill. All great guys!One more notable thing to mention, I had my new fortified roof installed with new gutters and downspouts last summer (2023). Naturally I was concerned about the soffit cutback and the new flashing installation for the awning and the potential compromise of a new roof. At my request I had my roofer inspect the new flashing installed by First Choice Home Improvements’ crew. I wanted to be sure! My awning company gladly accepted my request and both companies came together very professionally. My roofer whom I trust, was impressed to say the least!Charlie and his crew are top notch technicians! My Kudos to all! Thank you and God Bless!P.S. My neighbor behind me also had great comments. She had been watching the project all week and she was impressed by the crew’s diligence and meticulous work habits of the crew. Now that’s something to say. An unbiased report from a neighbor that has no skin in the game and to report positively, that says alot to me. She was so impressed, she may become a referral as she too is now interested in having a similar awning installed.

Comment: My husband and I are pretty avid DIYers, but when it came to renovating our en suite bathroom, we knew we wanted professionals to intervene to save us from ourselves. We were very nervous hiring out such a large renovation as we had both heard nightmares regarding contractors.Our experience with 1st Choice Home Improvement has been absolutely phenomenal! Our estimator was prompt, communicative and so personable. The company was so flexible with us, allowing us to source many of the items ourselves, even though it caused them extra hassle and planning to accommodate some of those materials. The artisans who executed the plan were professional, personable and did an absolutely beautiful job.As anyone who has delved into any renovation must know, there are always unexpected things that crop up. There were a few things (like discovering broken pipes when digging into our 30 year old walls) and these obstacles were addressed and handled quickly and without hassle on our end. We wont be going anywhere else when it comes to the other renovations we are planning. 1st Choice Home Improvements has won a customer for life here.

Comment: From the first moment 1st Choice assessed/evaluated our project, they presented professionalism that remained second to none - cradle-to-grave. 1st Choice, under Scotts direction, entered into our remodeling project as our partner. We asked for an expansion to the original house that the project COULD NOT be identified as an add-on. With our expansion, Scott and his crew, addressed the possible design intent, structural, aesthetic, and in-progress components such a remodeling could impact. Scott and his team offered options and suggests at each benchmark/milestone, we either accepted or declined and the progress continued as if no plan modifications occurred. His engineers, designers, sales team, and his construction crews all treated our home as a private residence during the entire remodel. We chose to maintain the house as our living space throughout the project.Being in the construction industry for 39 years, Ive seen all types of companies with all types of work ethics. Scotts 1st Choice is a 5-star partner any one could/would want for their own projects. All projects have trouble spots. Scott addressed every one head on and beat it into submission. They replaced siding including termite damaged wall studs, installed new windows, rebuilt and extended a second floor deck, and installed a nice roof over the first floor deck. Their customer service in terms of communication, addressing my concerns and responsiveness is excellent — the best I’ve seen. Their workmanship quality is also excellent. And you can communicate in English with their crews, which is an added bonus these days. I highly recommend 1st Choice as the best choice. You will not be disappointed. I obtained estimates from 7 roofers and 1ST Choice Home Improvements came out on top. I personally oversaw the whole project to completion which was a pleasant experience as well as an educational one at that. All that was contracted was completed on time and in a very professional manner, including clean up and.....WE LOVE OUR NEW ROOFS!! 1ST Choice Home Improvements is a certified Owens Corning roofing product and each of the property owners was provided a 50 yr warranty on both materials and labor by Owens Corning, which is transferable one time to a new owner, which is a valuable asset to carry going forward. Comment: This company did a FANTASTIC job on our kitchen remodel!!!!! I would DEFINITELY recommend them to ayone who wants the best professionals working on their project!!!!! I will say that at first, I was very upset with them and wrote a review that was evident of my frustration regarding the length of itme it took to get started on our project and the lack of communication that was coming from their office. However, I later learned that they had made a personnel change that made a big difference. The profect itself involved taking down a load-bearing wall between the family room and the kitchen, adding an island, adding new cabinetry and new flooring. The design was just as we had imagined and was written up in February. The work didnt actually begin until May, but once it began, the workers worked so had and diligently to gei it finished. Scott was so easy to get in touch with, and actually gave me his cell number. He was intent on making sure everything was completed to our expectations and it WAS!!! THANK YOU SCOTT and all of the emploees of 1st CHOICE HOME IMPROVEMENTS!!! We LOVE our new Kitchen!!

The representative that came out was very knowledgeable about the windows and showed me things that other companies didnt even bother to explain. He was very patient because I had a lot of questions! The 2 guys that came out to install the windows did a really good job also! I was very concerned about the potential mess that was created as the old windows were removed, however, they were sure to clean up as they progressed from one opening to the next. Both my husband and I could tell an immediate difference that the windows made on the AC usage in our home. I was really skeptical on the impact the windows would have on our newer home (built in 2009), however, seeing is believing! The windows were everything that we were promised and more! I definitely recommend this company!

Comment: 1st Choice recently completed a remodel of both our master and guest bathrooms. At first we thought they were a little pricey. we soon found you do get what you pay for. Scott and his crew completely tore both bathrooms to the studs and re did them. Beautiful job. All who have seen our master bath say they think they are walking into a spa. As for service after the job again Excellent!!! We had a problem with the spa shower we had them install. Pipes were banging. Scott had walls torn out, more than once and had plumbers come in to to find the problem. They could not find a thing they had done wrong. Turned out we have very high water pressure and the manufacturer or the shower/spa WE had purchased let out a check valve to prevent the banging. Scott had his team remove the shower/spa and replace the check valve. We had a couple of out minor things wrong after completing but again repairs were done in a very timely fashion. I would not think twice before calling them again. Very good company to work with!

Comment: At first, I was very frustrated because I was required by Home Depot to pay entire cost up front, then no one ever called. After nearly 3 mos, I confronted Home Depot. They referred me to 1st Choice.I could not be happier! My boyfriend had his shower installed by them love it! Once I startarted dealing directly with Scott at 1st Choice, everything went extraordinarily well. My new handicapped bathroom shower is breathtaking n suitable for a showcase room. The workers were the cleanest crew I’ve ever seen.The project was completed quickly and the results are beautiful.

Comment: I had my homes windows replaced several years ago by 1st Choice. After several years there was a problem with the way they were sealed. Scott came out and inspected the windows and volunteered to fix the problem for me. It is refreshing to have a business acknowledge that there was a problem and to offer to correct the problem at no cost to me. He did not try to make excuses for the problem, no dancing around the issue of what may have happened. He just addressed fixing the problem. He stood by his product and made the problem right for the customer. Thats how business should be done. I would do business again with Scott at 1st Choice.

Comment: The company did a great job on our house, they explained the project in detail and their contractors were very knowledgeable about the products we were using. We replaced many cedar boards due to water damage and age, they did not rush to finish, they waited for the right weather to finish the project with diligence and care. Definitely a job well done.

Comment: Met several 1st Choice associates last year at a home and garden show. Was impressed by their product knowledge, friendliness, and professionalism. No hard-sell or pressure whatsoever. Received a phone call a few days later from the courteous staff in their telemarketing department which is when I decided to go ahead and make an appointment for a free, no-obligation estimate to replace the windows on my home. About a week later their sales manager came to my home. Was totally amazed by his knowledge of this product and ability to help me understand how this investment would save me money on my heating and cooling as well as add beauty and value to my home. My order arrived and was installed in a timely, professional manner. I am extremely happy with my new windows. 1st Choice offers quality products that none of their competitors has. 1st Choice was indeed my BEST choice!
