Comment: Took a while because of the permitting process but eventually happened. Then only took a day and a half for boat lift and piling installation. They recommended a very good electrician. Pleased with their work. Would recommend.

Comment: OK,It is an often I write a review but I felt absolutely compelled to share the wonderful experience I had with Aboveboard Marine. I had an unusual situation where the dock had to be built at an angle. They came in did their due diligence and put together a dock that was beyond my expectations. Scott and Marianne were not only incredibly professional but responsive and personable. The crew worked hard and got the job done in two weeks needless to say the dock is absolutely beautiful they put all the subcontractors into place regarding my awning, my lift, plumber and electrical, they did it all without me having to worry about anything else. I would highly recommend Aboveboard Marine above anyone else.

Comment: I needed a piling replaced on pier. First company I called told me it would be about a year to get around to my pier and that they would have to tear it down and start over. They had not even seen the pier. I was going to wait for them to come out and give me an estimate but they never showed up. So I got on line anf found Above Board Marine. I seen their ratings were outstanding.I called them and got an estimate the next day. They were at my house within a very reasonable time frame and did the job in one day. They replaced 2 pilings and I had them wrap the pier and lift pilings. They didnt have to tear down the pier like the first company in Englewood I called told me. I am very happy with the company, their employees and the work they did. Definitely 5 Star company.Glad first company never showed up.

Comment: Scott, Maryann and their crew (Jason, Logan, Shawn, Ben) were absolutely a pleasure to work with on our new/replacement dock. I was on the phone the morning after hurricane ETA (Nov. ‘20) made a mess of our 35 year old dock. Scott promptly came out and gave us an estimate. Since quite a few docks in the area were compromised, I was given a time estimate when ABM could get to the build. I was Ok with the timing and in the end, the dock was completed on time and on the price that was quoted. (Even after experiencing some extra time relocating pilings, lumber prices soaring and Charlotte County holding up the permitting process) The quality of the work is impeccable. We used Titan decking and couldn’t be happier. It looks great, we will never have to seal/stain, bare feet in the hot summer temps, perforated so tidal surge won’t lift deck boards, and no splinters. All fasteners used are Stainless. Joists are double through bolted and pilings wrapped. I can’t thank Scott, Maryann and the crew enough. I’m extremely happy with the end product.

Bids from two other companies: one that wouldnt answer questions concerning their product or the details and one that wanted 30% down before doing anything! Comment: I recently upgraded to a larger boat and as a result needed to upgrade to a larger lift. I wanted to do it right and spent weeks researching companies, cost, and lifts. I also wanted to use a local company and a family business if I could. It all came together with Above Board Marine and Deco lifts. I was actually sent to Above Board by another local lift company who was overwhelmed by work. Armed with estimates from several other installers I met with Scott and went over exactly what I wanted. He offered some really good recommendations and I settled on a Deco 14,000 lb lift, and Above Board to install it. I felt like Scott was straight with me throughtout the whole process and always gave me good solid advice. Scott and his team were total professionals throughout the build, including when we hit rock and a bigger drill was needed. Scott had the contacts to get it done and get it done quickly. Scott had briefed me on the possibility of that happening before we started , so I wasnt blindsided by the additional cost. In the end I got a great lift, well installed, and for a fair price. Scott s team followed up to tweak the lifts settings once installed. Im so glad that I went with Above Board, in fact Ive asked them to come back to lengthen my dock too. Great company, great work ethic, highly recommend.

His crew knocked out the job quickly and efficiently and were top notch. I was really blown away by his service. The only hold-up were the permits which they have no control over. Scott is down to earth and wont BS you. He will work with you to make sure you are truly happy with his work. For me , he is the only way to go in this town.

Comment: I cannot say enough about ABOVE BOARD MARINE. First off, they answer their phone, unusual nowadays, second, they show up at the agreed upon time and date, thirdly, they are PROFESSIONALS. We have a 66 foot dock that needed to be torn down and replaced. Scotts team did a fantastic job. It only took 4 days to complete the job and not one piece of wood or garbage was left on our property. They are clean and efficient and within the price of other quotes.
