Comment: Although I did not purchase my home directly from Aubuchon Homes, at least two things are true and indisputable based on my experience:1. Quality of the original custom designed construction by Aubuchon withstood direct and immediate hurricane wind and river surge from Ian without any material damage to exterior or interior of my home due to the quality of the build. Adjacent model homes by two other builders incurred significant and material damage due to their substandard materials and labor readily obvious upon inspection before and after Ian.2. Aubuchon homes is still in business long after the original sale of my property whereas the other firms are already out of business. Furthermore, Aubuchon showed professionalism, class and personal service courtesy thru their warranty manager who took time to handle my inquiry regarding material specifications and vendor suppliers used in my build without any conditions or compensation.Aubuchon Homes is best in class for this reason. No reason to look further if building a home in the area.

Comment: My husband and I are beyond grateful for Gary, Justin, Jim, and the rest of Team Aubuchon as they listened to our dream home plans and executed it beautifully. Gary and Justin did a fabulous job communicating our ideas of what exactly we wanted and were very mindful to stay within our budget.The timing of our build was not ideal due to the current shortages in supplies and labor as well as the increased inflation prices, but Aubuchon Homes did their best to make it a smooth process for us.Our house turned out better than we imagined and we get frequent compliments on it from friends and neighbors. Our home not only looks beautiful but is structurally sound as well, it held up PERFECT during Hurricane Ian. We had absolutely no damage to our home which unfortunately we cannot say for our neighbors. My parents stayed with us during Hurricane Ian and all my Mom kept saying was how she never felt so safe in a house.Thank you SO much Aubuchon Homes for creating our forever home with many great memories to be made thanks to you!Jackie and Jake Long

Comment: Two years ago I bought a home that was originally designed, built and subsequently remodeled by Aubuchon. I blindly reached out to them this week to ask for the plan files and not only did they get back to me within 24 hours, the plans were emailed to me personally by the head designer himself, Mike McKiddie, who kindly offered his assistance if I had any questions at all. I must hand it to Aubuchon and Mike for designing a truly breathtaking home – he is one hell of an artist. We get so many complements on everything from the striking exteriors from both front and back, the gorgeous and dramatic tiered ceilings with wonderful placement of indirect lighting everywhere, a stunning built-in display in our living room with the backlit glass shelves, and I really could go on and on! I also must say it feels genius the way they optimized the lot by orienting the driveway, house and pool deck just so. Needless to say, I’m a huge fan. These guys know how to build a beautiful house.

One of our friends built a home about the same time with another builder and comments regularly that he should have built with Aubuchon. Comment: In 2004 we contracted to build the Sterling Monarch Model. The quality and layout of this house have garnered numerous compliments over the past 15 years.As with any new house build there are bound to be a few road bumps and Aubuchon homes responded quickly to resolve these minor issues. I would urge anyone looking to build a new home to check Aubuchon out and you will find all houses are not built the same. The biggest difference is their use of a stem wall for your foundation. This gives your new home a sold foot print and is far superior than the cheaper quickly laid slabs. The available finishings for the interior are quality too! In the 15 years here as full time residents we have only had to paint with routine maintenance.In todays new home market there are an overwhelming number of builders. The construction process today is done at warp speed using lower cost materials inside and out to keep the pricing down.The bottom line is if your are looking to build a new house that will be your forever home Aubuchon should not be overlooked. Aubuchon has been a premier builder in Cape Coral long before its many competitors who have come and gone over our 15 years living here.

Comment: Our new ‘forever’ home was completed by Aubuchon in May of 2020 within 30 days of the original projection. Considering this is the 1st home we have had built, we were very nervous buyers. They held our hand though out the entire process and were VERY patient with all of our questions and concerns. It was great that they are able to do most of the selections in their showroom without having to drive to individual stores. All of the people were helpful and friendly about the build and the area since we were new to area. Would we use them again, definitely!

Comment: We decided to go with Aubuchon as our builder because our research found their homes seemed to be built with better quality products and workmanship than other builders in the area. From the first conversation to the day we moved in, they provided nothing but excellent customer service. Our Aubuchon Real Estate Agent, Shirley Elwood, was excellent. We were moving to the area and she worked with us through email and phone providing us with area recommendations, areas to avoid and made sure we understood which areas of Cape Coral was right for us to build. After we purchased our lot, she continued to stay in contact with us although we were handed off to the building project manager who was excellent. Aubuchon has an onsite architect who helped us modify our home plans to meet our forever home needs. Their onsite showroom with all the selections for our home was convenient and helped to insure all our selections were coordinated and made sure we knew all the upgrade options available. We had six change orders during construction and all were documented, the project manager stayed on top of all the changes and we had zero issues with any change orders. With all the change orders, Aubuchon was able to complete our home 33 days ahead of promised date!!! We are coming up on one year living in our new house and have had just a couple of things we have called about with the builder. When we called, our project manager came out and either fixed the problem or had the trades out to fix the problem within a couple of days. We are as happy with our home today as we were when we first moved in. As I tell everyone, Aubuchon is a terrific builder and I am so glad we selected Aubuchon to build our home.

Comment: It is rare to find a builder that excels at both design and construction. We were fortunate to find both with Aubuchon. We have built several new homes in our lives and were looking for something very special in our retirement years. It’s the last home we expect to own and wanted it to be the home that ends all homes. We found it with Aubuchon.The interesting thing about our story is that we purchased a lot in Cape Coral and “thought” we had found the right model and builder. We almost signed the contract but held off to think about it over the weekend. On the way out of town we spied the Aubuchon sales office and model of their classic Mandolin on Cape Coral Parkway. Although we thought we had already made our decision, we decided to make a U-turn and check them out. It was one of the best decisions we ever made. Turns out, the house we loved and almost signed to build with the other builder, was a “knock-off” of the Mandolin. We signed instead with Aubuchon. They are the real deal. It was a fortuitous decision. The builder we almost signed with went out of business six months later. Our deposit could have went with them.So, we built with Aubuchon and absolutely Love our home!They did an amazing job. Any issue we raised, both during and after construction, were addressed to our satisfaction. We have to confess to being overly attentive to every detail. We are not easy clients or easy to please. They were patient and responsive throughout the entire build.After we moved in we had a couple of issues. Jim Aubuchon came out, assessed the situation, and got them fixed right away. Our onsite project manager, Bob, rode herd on the subs to get things done the way we wanted them done.It’s rare to find a builder that stays on top of things AFTER they have been paid. Aubuchon was there before and after the sale. Our “punch list” was quite long, and they handled every issue.One of the best benefits of Aubuchon is their design center and team. With every other builder we visited, they took us into the garage of the model and showed us a few tile and cabinet options. Not Aubuchon. They have an entire design center with a huge selection — and several design experts to help weigh the options and costs. They are true pros. Design is not an after thought of the build, it’s part of the DNA.Finally, they were on top of every stage. We were out of state for several months during the construction and the Superintendent, Bob Schuyler, sent us weekly updates with pictures, which we greatly appreciated.We are so happy with our house and feel very secure in knowing if any problems arise with the house, Aubuchon will stand behind their work and make sure any problems are fixed. We are watching a house go up next to us by another builder, and all we can say is…. so glad we chose Aubuchon to build our house.If you’re building your dream house in Cape Coral, there is only one great choice: Aubuchon. Comment: In 2014 we decided to build a home in Cape Coral Florida. We met the owner of Aubuchon Homes and were immediately impressed by his honesty and demeanor. We built our home with Aubuchon and despite many changes, upgrades, revisions etc. we had a terrific experience. The quality and workmanship were excellent and the people fantastic. Jim Aubuchon supervised our job and I cannot say enough good things about him. He was responsive to every need and question and made the entire process enjoyable. There are always glitches in building but the team at Aubuchon always got things back on track.We recently experienced the wrath of Irma here in Florida. Our home had no structural damage and I can attribute that to the quality of home Aubuchon builds. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering building in this area.

Our custom home building experience with Aubuchon was by far the best. They truly understand customer service. We had a multi faceted experience with the Aubuchon Team. We had boated by our lot for several years and admired its terrific views of the spreader canal and preserve. During one of our boating trips we noticed an Aubuchon for sale sign from the real estate division on the property. We bought our property in Cape Harbour from them, and then had the real estate division sell our existing home in a difficult market and finally assist us in building our new home. We worked with knowledgeable staff who crafted our dream retirement home.The team created amazing drawings that encompassed the fantastic views. The design center staff guided us through each of our decisions. The on-site design center enabled us to make many decisions under one roof. The staff was very attentive to us as we went through the selection process. When we wanted other options, staff accompanied us to make our selections. Evalutions provided valuable advice on our space planning. We have continued our relationship with them to decorate our home.Our Supervisor, Jim Aubuchon, kept us well informed each step of the way with phone calls, photographs and emails. The building process could have been difficult because we were living in Michigan while our home was being constructed. Aubuchon has outstanding relationships with their superior sub-contractors. Everyone was a pleasure to work with. The service didnt end when we closed. Our punch list was completed with attention to detail.
