Comment: We contracted with Dans company to build us a lower deck with stairs leading to an upper deck with a tiki hut and balcony. IT IS BEAUTIFUL AND WE LOVE IT!!!! It was built exactly as we had planned.Lucas (the foreman) was a pleasure to work with. Always agreeable to a few changes we made as it was in progress and also provided suggestions to things we didnt even think of.With that being said, communication was lacking at best. They did not always show up to work as expected and most often did not notify us that they would not be coming. This project took 9 months from start to finish to complete.

Comment: Just had my Tiki hut built over the weekend and all I can say is WOW!!! Guys were so professional and did an unbelievable job. We are so pleased with the outcome! I would highly recommend them to anyone and our salesman Mike was great! He communicated very well with me from start to finish and I have zero complaints! Don’t even bother calling anyone else! I got multiple quotes and so happy I used them!

Comment: We had a great experience with Dan the Tiki Man. They gave us a good quote and were able to fit us into their schedule quickly. We went with a 3-post Square tiki and it looks awesome! They knocked it out very quick, just a few hours to install a 15 x 15 tiki hut. They even worked through some bad weather. Mike was the one who came out to quote and again on install day. I had a neighbor recommend them and I would recommend them as well.

Comment: There are NOT enough stars for this company and their team! We have never worked with a more professional company! The entire process was absolutely flawless. Mike is absolutely incredible, we were hesitant and not sure what we wanted and had been looking into several options. Mike could not have been more of a gentleman, he helped guide us and embraced our vision! Our first meeting was on a Sunday, he answered every question, and every phone call moving forward! We never had to wait and wonder with Mike, he always responded and always showed up. If anyone from this company tells you something, believe it! They honor their word, they walk you through the entire process, you are never left in the dark with Dan The Tiki Mans team! We were out of town when they started and they kept us up to date the entire time, we came home to the most SPECTACULAR resort style tiki! The office team even followed up with us after all of the work was finished and just because they have completed your tiki does not mean they are finished with you! We have had several questions following the construction and they treat us with the same enthusiasm they did from day 1. Additionally, I recommend their electrician, he is unbelievable! As part of the team, his work is impeccable. We are thrilled with our new living space!

Comment: Great experience! From start to finish Dan the tiki man went above and beyond! Dealing with the site manager, mike, was a very pleasant and professional experience! Mike and Gess, who handled the paperwork and office portion, were both easily reached and kept me in the loop for every step of the process! The original estimate and time line that mike gave me was blown out of the water! From coming out to measure for the quote to finalizing permits and building the hut, this entire process was a breeze for me! Before I went with Dan the tiki man I had a few other companies provide me with estimates and mike came in thousands of dollars cheaper. They usually say you get what you pay for..but this is a beyond professional crew with an awesome end product! The hut came out fantastic and they had the whole thing done in less than 2 days from start to finish. Everything was done to code and the city inspectors (pompano) passed it with flying colors. Very satisfied and would highly recommend this company! Thanks again mike!

Comment: We needed to rethatch our Tiki hut and replace a few beams. We had about 4 quotes and contacted a few more companies we never even heard back from. All the prices were about the same. We felt more comfortable with Mike who came to give us the quote, he also assured us fumigation is included. They booked us for the next available which was a few weeks out, while telling them we would like it asap if they have any cancellation. The next week they called and said they can come that day! Which they did. We also didnt realize what kind of mess this would cause in our backyard! But I must say, we were surprised at how they cleaned up after they were done, it was almost as if they werent there. Weve been having many companies the past few months working on our house/backyard, and they are the only company that bothered to ask if they can park closer to the backyard (on grass) rather than just doing it like everyone else, which I really appreciated. They definitely went above and beyond from start to finish, and we are extremely happy with their continuous communication, professionalism, courteousness and work theyve done. I definitely recommend!

Comment: My family has been thinking about getting a Tiki hut for years now, our biggest concern was always who to choose. Dan the tiki man and his team came highly recommended and did not disappoint! I believe we got a 15x19 tiki and it was all done in less than two days; we were amazed at the skill and craftsmanship as well as how fast they got the job done. All of the workers and employees were respectful and did an amazing job cleaning up after themselves both days. They were extremely diligent making sure they left no sawdust and triple checked to make sure there were no nails laying around once the job was complete. They answered all of our questions and concerns and even gave us great recommendations for fans to buy that would fit the space perfectly (thank you Mike!). The service we received was amazing and the team went above and beyond to meet our needs and provide us with an amazing Tiki hut that will be here for years! Comment: I had sustained damage to my tiki during Hurricane Irma and contacted a local tiki company who said they could patch it for a small fee. It turned out to be a waste of money. I called Dan The Tiki Man and Mike got back to me the same day. He came out, gave me a quote and some good advice regarding my trees that were causing unnecessary damage to the Tiki. The day of install, a full crew came out - and like an assembly line, they removed the old thatching and replaced it in half a day. It came out awesome! The guys even cleaned up my patio and skimmed my pool, leaving my yard looking better than It did when they got there. These guys were efficient, courteous and professional. Comment: The first time I called, Dan answered the phone. He answered all my questions and gave me alot of helpful info. I got quotes from many companies but I just felt a good vibe with Dan. So I hired them to install my tiki. Dan gave me the engineered plans and I pulled the permit myself. At first city gave us a problem but then it was fine. The structure is concreted in with rebar. Huge through nails and straps. Chris the sales guy was very helpful as well. I bothered him a lot but he still answered my calls. The tiki came out great. I then hired them to do the electric. They put lights in that work off a transformer. They hung the fan we bought. Put Outlets on each pole. Outlets for our TV . He hid all wires and hid the conduit under the pavers. The guy worked all day. 9-6. He finished in one day, cleaned up and out tiki is beautifully lighted!!Thank you Dan the Tiki man!! Highly recommend!.

Comment: For the work done, I give Dan the Tiki Mans team 5 stars. They came in the morning, did the work efficiently, and was finished by late afternoon. This was a big job, as our tiki hut is 12 feet x 18 feet (complete re-thatching). The team was also very courteous and cleaned up after the work. It has now been a couple of months, and the work seems sturdy -- Ill update this review once the work is tested by strong winds/storms here in Miami. The job is outstanding, and I recommend them to anyone needing tiki hut repair or re-thatching.For communicating with clients to get an estimate, I would give Dan the Tiki Mans staff 3 stars. It took multiple attempts to get an estimate, each time Dan or his team missing their appointment without notifying me. Im glad I was persistent in getting the estimate, as the actual work was great - but missing appointments to give an estimate without notifying the potential customer is just poor customer service. This is something that needs to be improved.However, given the great work done by the team, which is the most important part of this review, I give them 5 stars!

Comment: Dan is a great guy who will do you right. He communicates all the way through the project, offers ideas at the proposal stage and when the job is complete, he there onsite with his team to make sure you are happy.Once I approved his ideas for my replacement deck, Tiki hut, and build up deck for my above aground pool he went to work. As soon as I had money in hand, he started 3 days later. Actual job days to complete the project was 4 days for everything. They were delayed slightly due to rain, but that was understandable. During the build, when the team had questions, they asked and offered options before moving forward to ensure I would be happy. Questions such as pitch of roof on the hut, drop down on the roof for clearance, placement of build up deck to above ground pool moved twice, railings and what wood would be used, to anything that could have been done differently that would make me wonder what if. They made sure I got what I wanted.The team cleaned up the area nicely. I just had to deal with small things like saw dust and sand piles from digging and mounting of posts. No biggy,Overall, I would highly recommend Dan to perform the work you need. He was 100% on budget within hidden fees or agendas. Not a single penny more was asked once the job was complete. Added a couple pics. Take note of the tiki hut poles mounted into the deck / ground. Perfect. The spacing of the palms under the roof is just wonderful to look at and the suggestion to use the piling poles instead of regular 2x4s or something everyone else has just came out nice.

The pool company told us to get the tiki done first, so Dan fast-tracked the entire process to accommodate the pool contractor, which we really appreciated. Comment: Dan the Tiki Man just installed a tiki hut in our backyard. It is wonderful. His guys are extremely professional. They were very detailed & pure perfectionists. Now, I feel that my backyard space is a haven for fun and relaxation. The breeze flows through the tiki hut very nicely. Being in our tiki hut, gives me the same sensation as sitting on the balcony on a cruise. My wife & I watch television in our tiki hut more than we do in our house during the weekends. It was a great addition to our property, and I am very pleased with his work. Our kids enjoy our new outdoor space as well. Thank you Dan the Tiki Man for reinventing our old backyard space!!!

Comment: I had Dan The Tiki Man come out to my house to give me an estimate and some ideas on a tiki. Dan was very punctual and very professional. What a great company, great guy and ideas that made logical sense. Not only was the estimate he gave us the best pricing we received but the craftsmanship and workmanship was phenomenal. My wife and I now have a conversation piece every time we have company over. This was a no-brainer.

Comment: We had a fairly large, and somewhat unique, tiki hut in mind for our back yard and entertained three different companies, including Dans. From the get-go, Dan proved extremely professional, knowledgeable, and, importantly, willing to work with us and our ideas. This was NOT the case with the other two companies which also came to our home. Also of note is Dans accessibility before, during, and after the project. This was important to us and Dan did not disappoint.Moreover, after the job was done, we needed adjustments to one of the huts ends, as a kitchen was built beneath the tiki and the countertop fell directly under one of the tikis overhangs. Again, Dan was not only responsive, he solved the problem and we are absolutely thrilled with how seamlessly the extension fits in with the original structure.Finally, shortly after our job, Dan constructed a similar hut at my parents home and again displayed the same professionalism, knowledge, and willingness to stand behind his product that makes his company one which you should unquestionably consider if you are in the market for a tiki hut. Highly, highly recommended.
