Comment: We used DUCS for our primary bathroom remodel in a 100+ year old home. In just over 3 months from initially reaching out to DUCS, Joe and the team were able to complete a beautiful remodel. We were very impressed with the subcontractors that DUCS used - including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and flooring - everyone was incredibly professional and clearly passionate about their work. Joe has a very relaxed demeanor and is open to ideas and working with homeowners to find the best and right solution (without cutting any corners). We are happy we picked DUCS for this job and are very much enjoying our remodeled bathroom.

Comment: Down Under Constructio an excellent job on my project. They replaced cast iron sewage pipes in the kitchen and laundry area, replaced galvanized water pipe from the meter and installed water softening system and leveled up the floor in the dining room with the kitchen. They finished an old attached garage which also needed leveled up, insulation, drywall, electrical outlets and lights. Flooring was installed throughout the house. Joe and Ricardo were easy to work with and always available. I am very pleased with the results and would recommend Down Under Construction for any project. They will provide good quality and value.

Comment: Contractor removed tile and carpet and installed new flooring throughout, new granite countertops, wall tile, baseboards and new appliances. Work done was excellent and they were very helpful relating what was being done. I live in Ohio and work done was in Florida. After finishing they did a video walkthrough so I could see finished renovations. I would highly recommend this company.

They made the process very easy, obtaining the permits and they were very flexible on a start date due to a delay in the sliding door. His crew for our project was led by Riccardo, and he was very knowledgeable and was able to easily overcome some challenges. Comment: I just finished an extensive and complete renovation of a small 1941 house in a flood zone in Indian Rocks Beach. I’m not sure anyone other than Down Under Construction could have managed it. One contractor told me it simply couldn’t be done. Wrong! The house is gorgeous and completely aligns with my vision. I have Joe Romano and crew to thank for that. Did everything go smoothly and on time? Are you kidding -- dream on! Did it cost more than originally planned? Why yes, but add-ons were reasonable and understandable. Were there mishaps and mistakes (several of them mine) along the way? Of course! But I truly cannot imagine working with anyone else through this renovation-birthing process. Joe is affable, helpful, a great problem solver and communicative. We laughed a lot, which helped. The office crew, Spencer and Daniel, kept things organized. (I cannot imagine using a general contractor who doesn’t have full-time administrative assistance!) Joe’s regular workers are top notch (though their choice of music was at times questionable), and 98% of his subcontractors were people I’d hire on my own. I’m proud of what we all accomplished together. Although I never hope to go through a project like this ever again, if I did, I’d run straight back to Joe and DUCs. Im almost going to miss them being around. Almost....

No more smell!!!Could not be happier. Like new!And Joe got there quickly to repair & finish job.He previously renovated my entire condo including kitchens & baths. Comment: As an addendum to my earlier post, seems to have been a misunderstanding please accept my apologies. I spoke to Joe, he came out today (thank you) I will have estimate by Wednesday.So I asked for an estimate and Michael came out on Thursday April 22nd, nice young man seemed to know what he was doing, said hed have something for me the following Monday. Well OK its a larger job perhaps 200k remodel and addition so when he didnt contact me I cut him some slack and I called him on the 27th to see if things were OK he needed more time which is all he needed to say. So on May 3rd I called to check in he was at Lowes and would call me later that Day. NOPE. So today Thursday May 6th I called thinking he Just got busy and forgot to call. NOPE HE HUNG UP ON ME!!!! atleast have the dignity to say you cant handle the job rather than hanging up me.

Comment: Used DUCS for my new Kitchen in Bay Island. The whole experience was nothing short of great. Joe Romano is a a stand up guy and delivered on his promise and everything we agreed to. They were always on time and the quality of work they delivered was impeccable. Special shout out to Russ who installed the cabinets. The cabinet order was screwed up by the manufacturer, however Russ was meticulous and made it work with some retro fitting. Also special recognition for Bobby Romano...great guy and a a true sheetrock professional. While I dont know the backsplash guy, he was great also. I dont normally write reviews, but their work requires a true acknowledgement. Thank You DUCS.

Comment: We hired Dave and his crew to remodel our 35 year old 1800 sq. ft. Condo. Literally, they made this place look like it was just built. They were professional an knowledgeable. We were living in Franklin, TN, so Dave had to handle all of the little details. When we moved in we felt like we were on TV, I was waiting for someone to say move that bus. Dave designed the new kitchen lighting, installed the new cabinets, counter tops back splash, all of the plumbing fixtures and flooring. Removed popcorn ceiling. We also remodeled both bathrooms and closets. added Tiled the patio with cabinets and a granite counter. You will not find anyone that is more focused on detail.

Comment: DUC installed quartz counters, backsplash,sink, and new faucet in our kitchen. Then did a complete demo of the main bath. New shower replaced the tub, drywall was installed and painted, tile floor, complete tiled shower. Then new vanity with vessel sink installed.Through both jobs ,when problems or issues arose, Joe immediately took care of it. The end results of both rooms are great. Comment: We added a second bathroom to our previously one-bathroom house -- in the garage! This involved cutting into concrete for piping, installing sewer pipe about 80 to connect to sewer, building the room, adding A/C, installing shower and other fixtures, moving the houses main electric panel to another wall, tiling, painting, etc -- in short: this was not a simple project! Nonetheless, Joe (owner) made sure every aspect was covered, expediting a ton of permits, kept his crews coordinated to keep the project moving along, and they all did beautiful work! The workmen showed up on time, were professional and unobtrusive, and cleaned up after themselves every day. Kim in the office is a delight to deal with, as is Joe. They quoted us a price in the mid-range of the other contractors, and we know they did a better job than the lowest bidder, and as good if not better than what we would have expected from the highest. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone for any remodeling project, and if we do any more remodeling -- DUCS is the one for us!

Comment: I was extremely frustrated because I was having a hard time finding a reliable honest contractor to redo my kitchen and remove a structural wall. Someone finally recommended Joe Romano from Down Under Construction. He came out to look at the jobsite. Mr. Romano is very low key and professional. I did hire him for my renovation, and am very happy with the finished product. His workers are also professional and do quality work. There were minimal delays, and the job was completed to my satisfaction. I will be hiring DUC to redo my master bathroom next. That in and of itself speaks volumes. Not only will I use him again, I feel very comfortable recommending him to my friends and neighbors. One thing I really appreciate is that Mr. Romano is very reachable. He actually answers his phone, or calls back in a timely manner, unlike some other contractors Ive dealt with.

After calling and visiting a number of window firms, employing Angies List and Home advisor, we were unable to find any firms to do this type of work. In April, a friend told us about Down Under Construction. I called, Mr. Romano came out and said he was able to do the work. The window looks just like new. He sent Karl and his work partner over and they did and excellent job in a very difficult situation. Crawled under the house and supported the joist. Got it done in one day.
