Comment: Galaxy Builders recently completed a re-roof and removal of our chimney/fireplace at our home, along with some added gutters. Mike was the only contractor I called who came prepared with multiple options, having done his homework beforehand.The project was organized from start to finish. Ours was a multi-day project where the team was consistenly on-time, cleaned up after themselves well, and Mike kept in touch and visited daily. Not only does the new roof look great, we chose some energy efficiency options which increased the comfort in our home.We look forward to using Galaxy for our upcoming home remodel project.

They removed the very old roof and replaced any rotten wood, installed the roof and added a beautiful skylight to the kitchen which brightens up the entire house. There have been 3 issues with the windows they installed but the problems came from the manufacturer, not Galaxy. Mike Rooff has been very reactive to the issues and has fixed/replaced any defective windows. I would strongly recommend working with Mike and the entire Galaxy Builders crew.

Comment: About a month ago, I noticed a water mark on the ceiling of my old house. After researching websites and businesses in person, I decided to have a representative from Galaxy Builders come to my home for inspection and estimate. After accepting the estimate, two weeks was spent in getting permits and approval through the historical society. The following week, my roof was gutted and replaced with alterations from the old roof that would prevent standing water from happening on the new flat roof. The process seemed complicated to me in that coordination between the materials arriving, dumpster arriving, staff and supervisors arriving, and dumpster leaving, all was completed on-time and with courtesy, cleanliness, and completeness of the job in the specified time. I will use them again if and when needed in the future. Thank you all for taking such great care of my 100+ year old home.

They are a fantastic company to work with! We met Mike Rooff first when we installed the windows/door. He was very informative and not pushy which is definitely right up my ally. I think what I appreciate most about them is their communication and they show up (on time!) Mike would always get back to us by the end of the day if we had a question about anything. We always knew what was happening and when it would be happening. The quality of work on the Windows/Door absolutely met my expectations.The bathroom was a different process, but the quality was still top notch. There was a lot more back and forth for decisions and timing, but again their communication is better than any company Ive worked with.I want to give high praise to their new Project Manager, Nick, as well. His attention to detail on the bathroom really helped me feel confident we would be 100% satisfied with the finished project and we were!!Thank you Galaxy!! Excited to start our next project :)

We had other companies come out for estimates and none of them seemed as genuine as Galaxy. The staff were always easy to contact, very transparent in what they were doing, and the made it so much easier. They were not pushy and we did not feel as if they were trying to tack more and more on. Their workers were nice folks that did a beautiful job and had it done in a day. Comment: Our home was built in the 1920’s. It is a Spanish style, 2-story with a “flat roof” surrounded by a parapet wall on all four sides. It was initially covered with the tar and gravel which is what was used years ago. We have been here for over 50 years, and have replaced the roof a couple of times. The last time was with what I would call roll roofing that you see in the home improvement stores, but it is of the torch-down variety. Due to the very, very slight grade of the roof, just enough to allow the water to run off at the lowest spot, water tends to collect and sit at the low spot until it evaporates off. It had actually been seeping through the roofing material for decades, even though we could not find a specific leak. It had ruined walls and floors.I researched different contemporary materials that could be used to cover the roof which would eliminate this issue. One company wanted to replace the roof with the same torch down. Another gave a quote on using “PVC” membrane sheeting. The third company I asked for a quote was Galaxy Builders (based on the stellar reviews and equally superior status with the Better Business Bureau). I called them and asked for a quote on the PVC re-roof. I was told they did not do PVC, so I thanked them and hung up, very disappointed because I felt they would have been a great company to have do the job. Within a few minutes, I was called back and was told they did a 100 percent silicone coating which had a better warranty than the PVC and was rated to be impervious to standing water!Mike Rooff, Galaxy Builders rep, came out and met with us. We were sold on the superior protection this solution would provide as well as the fact it was highly reflective and would keep the attic and 2nd floor cooler. As we moved ahead with the project, Mike kept me informed every step of the way and came back out numerous times with different experts to examine the existing roof to be certain there would be no issues with using the silicone.To complicate matters, I explained to Mike that as soon as they fixed the roof, I was having solar panels installed and the silicone had to be durable enough to withstand the installation as well as waterproof with all the punctures created by the mounting hardware for the solar panels. Mike worked with the solar company in Orlando to agree on what product to use to waterproof the mounting points. Once that was done, there were several steps involved in the repair. All the rotten wood and associated roofing had to be replaced, structural supports around the interior of the parapet had to be installed. The roof had to be cleaned off, dried off, and a special primer had to be applied. A metal cap had to be installed on all the parapet walls, and finally the silicone coating had to be applied. Due to the uncooperative weather we had, this took nearly a month.I could not be happier with the process and end result, starting with that initial call back, through the repeated site visits, the constant attention to making sure I knew what was happening and what stage we were in, through to the ultimate completion of the job. There were NO surprises and everything I was told was what happened. Additionally, the father and his three son team who did the primer and silicone coating were such amazingly good “family value” people. So I was not only thrilled with the job outcome and the process, but also all the good people who worked hard to get the roof to where it is now. I would give 10 stars if I could! Dan B.

Even though it has been a year I feel it is only right to compliment them on the excellent job they did and the personal service Ricky Ravelo provided. He assisted with the task of working with the insurance company to everyones satisfaction. The crew was hard working and did a fine job of cleaning up upon completion of the job. It has been a year and the roof looks beautiful and does the job. I would definitely recommend this company.

Comment: Im writing for my mother as she does not have a google account. My handyman recommended Galaxy to me when I was helping my parents find someone to replace their roof.Mike Roof was amazing!!!! The roof is a very high pitch roof which has created all kinds of problems with water flow. They were able to come up with a solution and fixed that problem. They also explained why I was getting water damage in one of my exterior walls and fixed that. Mike explained everything thoroughly and their estimate was accurate. Mike came every day to explain what was going to be done that day. The crew that did the work was on time every day and worked really hard. Everything was done on time and Mike even took care of getting the HOA approval for my parents. I checked four other companies, galaxy was at least a 1000.00 cheaper for the same thing. It was so nice to find folks that take pride in what they do. Would highly recommend them to everyone. Comment: We had a number of random roofing companies canvassing our neighborhood last year en masse, offering free inspections and assistance filing claims for “the storm”. It all rubbed me the wrong way and just felt seedy, but our roof was definitely in need of repair.Enter Galaxy Builders - they came on the recommendation of a friend, and they definitely let their work speak for themselves rather than soliciting door to door. Mike Rooff (AWESOME guy) came over to our house, answered my arsenal of questions and then some, and left behind plenty of professional, informative pieces of info on how they’d install the roof, including shingle samples, color pallets, and pictures to help visualize them.They did help sort through the claim process, and had the work scheduled to go literally 5 days after the claim was accepted. It took their guys from 8a-4:15ish to install the roof and complete cleanup....and that was it! They even performed a wind mitigation study afterwards to help with our homeowners insurance, and it was as painless a process as putting a roof on your home can be.I don’t typically write online reviews, but good work deserves to be shared with others in a like position.
