Comment: My wife and I decided to move from Miami and build a new house in the Mount Dora area. Along with the search of the right location we also looked for who was the best builder in the area. We decided prior to finding our property that we wanted Kevco Builders to build our new house. We decided to build in Mission Inn and were very pleased to find out Kevco builds homes in Mission Inn. Our first meeting with Kevco went great. Ian Kaneshige, who we met with could not have been more helpful. We were able to make all the changes we wanted from one of their home plans. Unfortunately for all, we were in the middle of COVID, and supply chain issues, which affected everyone and every business. The construction process went slower than everyone expected and hoped for. To no ones fault. Once materials came in, the installation went quickly. I had a chance to speak to one of the County inspectors, he said, Kevco builds a great house and they never have issues with them. Very happy to hear this. Our construction manager, Daren Mercer, is a no nonsense guy. Dont expect him to tell you what you want to hear. He will tell whats going on and when to expect things to happen. In other words, the truth! Hes one of the hardest working individuals I have ever met. They finished our house and it has exceeded our expectations both in quality and comfort. Bottom line they are great builders. If I ever were to build another home, I would not hesitate to have Kevco build it.

Comment: My experience with Kevco has been a wild ride. Building a home can be stressful and as much as they had to work on strengthening communication throughout the whole process, I am very pleased with the quality of the home. We have previously had a home built, but nothing like the attention to detail Kevco provides in making sure everything is looks exactly how you want it.The best part? Our construction manager, Darren, was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! If I could, Id give that man 10 stars for everything he did to make sure our home was finished and finished well. He was always responsive and always had a smile on his face. If you get Darren, just know that youre in great hands!It is definitely nice to walk in to a beautiful, custom home knowing its my forever home. Thank you, Darren and Kevco!

Comment: 10/1/22- I will continue to update my review of Kevco and Jayne.Hurricane Ian was not covered under warranty, but Jayne made sure I had contact information for damages we sustained. I have even called Jayne on plants and sheds and she’s a wealth of resources. Please use Kevco for your building needs.We are in the planning stages of our custom home with Kevco Builders. From the moment I spoke with Jayne in the office, to Ian and our plans and Michelle with our decor, everyone has been so professional and friendly. They have always Maintained open communication via phone and email (Covid 19). We cannot wait to break ground with Kevco!Please give Jayne a raise 🙂. She definitely deserves it.Update: We have poured our slab, roofing and framing in has started. Kevco continues to maintain excellent customer service and communication. Our construction manager Rick stays in contact with us and responds almost immediately to every question we have. The workers are always kind, friendly and fast! I was amazed at how fast the block went up.I love getting the weekly professional photos of my house.I will continue to edit during this process.

Comment: Kevco built our custom home in 2020. Despite some lot site challenges like a 13 foot drop in property side to side, Kevco managed to build our home with slight adjustments in cost to us. They were wonderful to work with and only use high quality building materials and professional sub contractors. Our superintendent, Shawn, was on our job site daily to inspect our homes prior days work. In the one year since construction, we have had zero construction issues or quality issues. With this being our 3rd custom home our expectations were high and we can gladly say that all were met or exceeded.

Comment: My husband and I are looking for a retirement home in Florida we had family recommend Kevco builders. When I called I spoke to a gentleman named Ian Kaneshige. I explain to him what we were planning on doing and that we may be in the area vacationing and I would like to meet up with him to look at some homes and go over pricing. Without hesitation he advised me that whenever I was going to be in town he will make time to meet with us. And that’s exactly what he did, we gave him literally a weeks notice. He said he had to rearrange some things but made the time for us. When meeting with Ian he was even more professional in person then on the phone the homes that Kevco that build are amazing homes. He showed us a different kind of models different sizes and pricing. Going in we had no idea what we were looking. With the help of Ian we left his office knowing exactly where we want to build, how many bedrooms and a draft of our backyard. We came home completely satisfied and will recommend Kevco Builders and Ian to all our friends and family. Keep up the great work and we look forward to finalizing all the details…

Comment: Update to my last post, today marks our one year in the house. After a year we are still extremely satisfied with our home and builder. We had two minor issues, which Kevco was quick to react to and correct. With the beautiful landscaping fully grown our house has never looked more beautiful. Again we just want to thank the Kevco team for building our quality dream home. We are looking forward to a lifetime of joy in our home.From our first meeting with the owner Joe Ziler at Kevco Builders we were very impressed with the team, workmanship and integrity of the company. Comment: Kevco is in the process of building my daughters second home, and my winter home. She built two years ago but job changes has her moving closer to work.We couldnt be more pleased with either build. My husband was a contractor and he was amazed that he couldnt find a flaw that didnt meet his standards.The entire team was great through out the process. Though we are only here during the winter they still made us feel like we were still part of the process.Excited to see her new finished home, as her last one beat all our expectations by far.

Comment: I highly recommend Kevco Builders for you home building needs. We had a customer home built with them. We met several times to work out minor details, and re-configuration of the floor plan. Kevco listened to our needs and desires for our home. The build went flawlessly. All the contractors used were great, and helpful. Follow up issues have been handled expeditiously. We chose Kevco for the quality of the home, and the included upgrades, that woulds have been up-charged with other builders. Our home is structurally sound, very comfortable and beautiful! Were will definitely use Kevco again in the future!
