Comment: Our design center person was helpful and there were a lot of options. The pricing was similar to what you would pay if you bought at a box store for a good brand like Moen, and the options are good brands. I recommend going twice. Once, during their open house to pick out cabinet and flooring options and once more for everything else. You will spend a lot of time there, but thats okay because you are designing your own home!One thing I would not recommend is the upgraded paint. Its not a cheap upgrade and while it is washable its a flat paint and is easily marked up. The impression I got at the design center was that it was similar to an eggshell, but it is not.Overall, a positive experience with Meritage Homes, but my last piece of advice would be to make sure that every little defect is fixed before you accept the house. Once they have their money, the customer service goes downhill at a depressing rate. Overall build quality, options, location and community are great though.

Comment: 1st time home owner, and had an amazing experience.My Design Center experience was A+++. The entire team went way out of their way to help us, and make awesome choices. (We spent HOURS at multiple open houses) NEVER felt pressured, or forced to try to upsale. some of their recommendations even saved us money from our original choices. Ask for Mathew if you can!!!! Cant say enough how much he helped, and talked me off the edge a few times. He even followed up later to see how much I loved the outcome. LOVE LOVE LOVE the house.Tanner, the Oakland Trails sales agent, was very helpful and understanding of all my stupid questions. Very lucky to have AJ as our construction manager, who has delivered over the top customer service, and has made the construction process amazing.at 30 days in, I am VERY happy...and LOVE my new home.
