Comment: This is my second review. And heres why: Nelson Construction did an amazing job on renovating our familys home in Dunedin, Florida. It needed significant repair. I was on a fixed budget and we developed a game plan with clear expectations. A week or so ago, a major hurricane hit the neighborhood. It was all over the news. People were out of their homes and everything has been destroyed--on our very street. Thanks to the work done by Nelson, including the repairs on the walls, the quality construction, windows, framing, and roof work, our home is in 100% excellent condition and was not destroyed. There was not a drop of water in the house and thats not the case for our neighbors. Its just incredible to see the results of this work in this very difficult situation. Id trust Nelson EVERY single time given what just happened. We truly appreciate the staff, especially Jesus. Let me tell you: Jesus is the most responsive, helpful, and responsible worker. He communicates with ease, is helpful even after the project concludes, and has the upmost integrity. Jesus was so thorough and every piece mattered when the hurricane hit--from landscape to roofing to the implementation of the design. I trust Jesus and the entire team at Nelson. Thank you for saving our familys home and for the work youve done for us. We appreciate the ownership and leadership team at Nelson. Thanks!

Comment: We reached out to Nelson Construction and Renovations, Inc. to inquire about a new construction project. Unfortunately, we were not in their service area, but Chris, the office manager, was incredibly helpful in answering all of our questions. He even provided us with tips on how to find a reputable builder in our area. He went out of his way to help us and answer our questions about how the typical building process works even though he knew they would not be building our home for us. He even offered to provide guidance should any questions arise in the future. We were incredibly impressed with his professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond. We are so bummed we are not in their service area. This would have been a great company to work with.

Comment: I had the pleasure of working with Nelson Constructions in house designer, Yokasta. She was absolutely amazing. She was able to take what I needed and create the perfect space for our growing family (think large addition to home, multiple beds and baths) she worked tirelessly to meet my ideal square footage while keeping an eye on overall costs and maintaining amazing anesthetics. We had a few overhauls and I asked for multiple tweaks during the final design process and she was incredibly diligent and polite in meeting my every request. I am so thrilled with the final design that Yokasta Gonzalez produced. She is a true create genius and I feel so fortunate to be working with her firm.

We used their design/build team from start to finish and are very happy with the end results. The Nelson team was very good at communication and transparency throughout the entire process. Greg is an extremely thoughtful general contractor that understands his clients vision and ensures his entire team puts in and A+ effort. Jesus, our project supervisor, did a wonderful job orchestrating the constant flow of subcontractors and inspectors making sure our project remained on schedule. Comment: Greg and the team completely renovated a 1939 cottage and outbuildings for us in 2008 - 2009 to a modern coastal home with all the hurricane mitigation, completely new plumbing, electric, gas, roofs, Hardiplank siding, interiors, baths, and custom kitchens. Spectacular results! Even better was the process - efficient, proactive, engaging, on-time, and always a pleasure to deal with. Renovating old structures always has surprises - Greg handled them all constructively and with confidence. Highly recommended!

After several bad experiences with previous contractors we have been very pleased with their hardwork, vision and professionalism. Greg Nelson took on the projects and worked hard at executing my vision while adding his own vision until the projects were fully executed beyond my expectations. I was assigned Nicole as a project manager at my commercial and she has been beyond amazing taking responsibility for the project and going beyond her responsibilities to ensure the project was completed on time and to our expectations. Our remodel included an updated kitchen with custom cabinetry, reconfigured and updated laundry room, updated master bathroom... as well as some new flooring and trim work throughout. We are very pleased with the end result!The custom work by Nelsons in-house cabinet / work shop was high quality... from our slate blue cabinets to our barnwood floors to our custom beams in the ceiling. Marcus oversaw / project managed the work, and did a great job. He followed-up and addressed any questions or issues we had throughout the process.I would recommend Nelson Construction.

Comment: Used Nelson to add an addition to our home. Great group of professionals. Very talented. We especially benefited from having their Site Supervisor (Eli Player) be extremely available and ever present to answer our constant barrage of questions. The only blemish regarding Nelson involved the inferior work of a couple of their sub-contractors. But to Nelson’s credit they quickly addressed the problems and made them right. In summary, a great company with great people. We definitely would not hesitate to choose them again for any future jobs.

Comment: We selected Nelson Construction for our remodel project and I can’t say enough great things about their staff. From the permit approval process, that Sean seamlessly navigated us through, until the end of the project their level of communication and customer service was off the charts. When you go through a remodel on a house built in 1955 you need to prepare for and expect the unexpected. Nelson worked with us to ensure that any issues that did arise were handled swiftly and accurately and most importantly-within our budget. Our Project Managers Steve and David were simply amazing guys to work with. They both went the extra mile to ensure things were done right and we were taken care of. I’d highly recommend this company and their awesome staff!
